Behrman Communications is a full-service public relations and brand building firm. 

The agency was founded in 1985 by industry pioneer Nancy Behrman, an innovator and trailblazer in the world of public relations, corporate positioning, and retail relations.

 

A History of Firsts

Behrman PR is known for its remarkable ability to publicize and grow brands by discarding the outdated tactics of yesteryear and embracing the unconventional. The agency is synonymous with “firsts”: Behrman Communications was the first agency to introduce widespread product sampling, it was the first agency to rally behind a cause and make cause-marketing the industry norm…and it continues to rethink and reset industry standards today. 

The agency’s first client was Kiehl’s Since 1851, a stellar case study on how an innovative public relations campaign can elevate an insider secret into an international beauty leader. Kiehl’s remained a client until its sale to L’Oréal in 2001 and became a benchmark for the industry. Since then, the Behrman PR team has similarly transformed countless emerging companies into powerhouse names, and become tried and true experts in growing established brands’ dominance as well.

Over the past decade, PR and media have evolved tremendously to accommodate the digital age. Behrman Communications has the ability to not only adapt, but flourish in this new landscape, thanks to its philosophy, put into practice, that success happens outside of the comfort zone.
